Reflection-Week 8

This week was Options Trail week. So as the name suggests, the main part of the week was the options trail. We went to interview Molly from North Melbourne legal service and discussed about the legal system in Australia. We then went to the North Melbourne Police station and did a 15-minute survey and learned a bit about the how the police system works in Melbourne. We then surveyed people outside the magistrates court and sat in at some cases. Our team went quite well on the trail . Both the interview and the surveys were great and successful. We were expecting another interview with the educator from Legal Aid but she was sick so we filled in the time with court experiences which was a good adjustment. Apart from the options trail, we also did the amazing race which was quite interesting. I had a great chance to get to know the scenic spots in Melbourne. We experienced the view from the tallest tower in Melbourne on the Eureka skydeck. And it was quite funny running through the Melbourne uni because our team were 5 minutes late. In the week, all the Galileo students welcomed students from leongatha high and we also went to a sports session at the Princess park. The swings were awesome. The options trail week was really eventful I would say.

  1. I’m glad you enjoyed it Emma. As the old saying goes, ‘the more you put in, the more you get out’. I think part of the reason you’ve had an eventful week (and a successful term) is because you’ve thrown yourself into everything we’ve asked. Well done.
    Michael.
